About DD One

Each year, DD One, working in partnership with both the public and private sectors, organise and support a range of initiatives to boost trade and visitor numbers, with the aim of developing the city’s economic potential. Each initiative is designed to target and attract new business from an ever increasing geographical area, whilst ensuring that past visitors can find something to tempt them back time and again. Regular events are organised by City Centre Management on behalf of DD One.  Recent events include;

City Centre Management also undertake the bi-monthly DD One newsletter and produce the Eat, Drink and Shop initiative - available in leaflet format and on the web.

The Dundee Anti-Crime Network (DUNCAN) team within CCM oversee ongoing work promoting public safety and information through initiatives such as Radiolink, Retail and Evening Economy exclusions, Little and Lost initiative (child safe), Evening Economy and The Star Awards. The DUNCAN team support the Safezone bus by providing personal safety products.

City Centre Ambassadors

City Centre Management also have a dedicated team of staff out on the city centre streets known as the City Centre Ambassadors, who offer visitors and the public local information, and undertake city centre house-keeping and reporting.

City Centre Management are the conduit to a wealth of business support to DD One members.


To be eligible to join DD One, you must own, or work in a business in the DD1 postcode area. Membership is free, with the flexible option to contribute towards initiatives as and when required.

DD One meetings are held monthly and are hosted in different venues across the City Centre.  They offer members the opportunity to network, share business ideas, problems and solutions, and work collaboratively on marketing and other projects.  DD One also hold regular business seminars.
